Let's Get Youth Luggage

She Ready Foundation partnered with MYNDZ Resources Foundation has teamed up to impact our most vulnerable areas in California by collecting 1000 pieces of luggage for youth impacted by foster care. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

While She Ready Foundation inspires, protects and provides resources for youth impacted by foster care, MYNDZ Foundation empowers disadvantaged communities with mental health support and financial services. Together we’re making sure youth impacted by foster care no longer carry their belongings in trash bags but have luggage they can use along the journey of life - especially in the Sacramento, San Joaquin and Solano areas that are often overlooked.

On April 17^th we are asking community to bring a new piece of luggage to CAL EXPO at 1600 Exposition Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95815. You can drop of the luggage at any time before May 7^th, but this is our main collection day where you’ll meet representatives from both She Ready & MYNDZ Foundations.

We will pack the luggage with “comfort items” that we’ve sourced from donors. This includes hygiene products, stuffed toys, blankets, socks and other donated items.

Help assure we have 1000 pieces of luggage and the packing items we need by making a donation in any amount.

• $10 gives a child a new notebook plus pens and pencils for the school year
• $15 provides a child with a brand new book that we add to the luggage
• $25 can ensure a child has a clean, new school uniform
• $40 provides a new backpack for the school supplies
• $50 provides a piece of luggage
• $100 makes sure our youth have shoes or sneakers
• $150 defrays the cost of hair styles, hygiene and first aid/medical supplies to assure our youth are clean and tidy
• $200 provides lessons in the arts and athletics
• $250 goes along way with food, transportation and lodging
